Too many changes!!

This last week has been nuts at our house. McKenna has changed so much, I am not sure it is the same child :) McKenna is now full out crawling and going everywhere! We have set up baracades around the house, but somehow this little girl seems to still get through them! By the end of the day I am POOPED! Her new favorite thing to do is pull her self up onto things in a standing postion. She will pull herself up onto anything and then gets the biggest grin on her face - it is the cutest thing ever! :) I think it might be time to lower the crib because when I put her down for a nap today, I came back in and saw her standing up in it!! AHH! It is crazy how much things can change in such a short period of time!

Steve has also officially taught her the cutest thing ever...to whistle!! She pushes out her little lips and makes a whistling noise, it is sooooooooo cute I can't even explain...I will have to take a video and put it on here! More pictures and videos to come, it is just so crazy with the move..Wednesday is moving day!!!! :) My dad and I will be painting McKenna's new room bright and early ---pictures of that to come also! ;)

Time to start baby-proofing!!!

Well it is definitely time to start baby proofing the house, which will be interesting since we are moving in 3 weeks! I will probably have to wait until we are in the new place because there will be boxes everywhere (which means McKenna will get into everything!) She is officially army crawling all over the house and getting into places we don't want her ;) Her favorite thing seems to be getting into the DVDs and pulling them all off the shelf to chew on :)

Half a year old! :)

Well today McKenna turned 6 months old! It is so weird to me to say I have a 6-month old daughter...I swear I was just saying I have a two week old! I could not stop looking at McKenna today and thinking how lucky I am. She is the best little girl - so curious and full of life, and I just love looking at life through her eyes. I don't know how I got so lucky to have her as my daughter, but I am truly blessed...Being a Mom is the best thing in the world :)

Today McKenna also had her 6 month check-up (I know... how mean right - shots on her 1/2 bday!) Doctor said she looked absolutely perfect and that her growth is perfectly on track! She said she is very strong and was amazed at how well she was sitting up. Then it was time for her shots....AHH!! Besides McKenna's first doctors appt. this was the first one Steve was able to go to, so he has never had to witness her getting shots...let's just say it was very hard for him to watch as well as for me. I just hate to see her in pain, but after I was able to pick her up she was fine....She actually did a lot better than her last two times getting shots, so I was a very proud Mommy :) Thankfully she doesn't have to get shots again until her 12 month checkup. I was telling Steve I can't wait until she's old enough that I can take her for ice cream after her shots :)

Changing everyday!!

Wow McKenna is just changing day by day! I swear everyday she is doing something different and it is just so fun to watch. This morning we were laying in bed and she was chewing on my finger when all of the sudden I was like "OUCH!" There was something sharp that bit me! I put my finger back in and felt a sharp little tooth coming in on her bottom left side! There was a big white bump and in the next day or so I think it will be completley broken through. I was really suprised because she hasen't been fussy at all in the last few days and even today, she's been happy as ever! Hopefully all of her teeth come in this easy ;)

The past few days Steve and I have been putting McKenna down somewhere in the house walking away for a minute and seeing where she ends up! It is so funny the places she gets into. We've noticed she likes to roll herself under tables. She is just moving all over the place, I swear she will be crawling in the next few weeks. She's started pushing up on her legs, and really pushing her head high up in the air with her arms all the way extended so we shall see! It is so crazy to me that a baby who HATED tummy time now can't get enough of being on her stomach! Like everyone says once they start crawling it's over - they are just always on the go, so it is fine with Mommy if she takes her time haha.

McKenna has also really started sitting up on her own a lot more. If she is laying in bed with us she will pull herself up into a sitting position from laying down! It's so exciting! My little girl is getting so big :)

Better late then never!

Well I know McKenna is now 5 months old, and I am just now starting this but it's better late than never right!? My friend Melissa (also Noah's Mommy - McKenna and Noah are only 10 mins apart!) has a blog and I love reading it and think it will be something so cool to look back on!

Well where do I start....These last 5 months have been the best of my life. The day McKenna was born my life changed instantly. I love being a Mom and it's hard to even imagine my life before McKenna was here.

A moment I will never forget seeing Steve hold her for the first time...I think it brought tears to everyone in the room!

We are so blessed to have her in our lives and it is so exciting to see how much she changes from day to day. Hopefully I can get the hang of this and keep you all updated from here on out! :)
